We get it - dangerous locations are mysterious, unique and the adrenaline makes you feel alive - but what happens when a tourist attraction is simply just too dangerous to be visited?

Visiting an active volcano sounds fun, right? Hawaii volcanos attract almost 2 million visitors per year and experiencing an active volcano can be indeed a magical adventure. But it can also be incredibly dangerous.
A bike isn’t the only dangerous thing on these tours - whenever you visit an active volcano, you are exposed to a risk of lava and heat and to those who aren’t well prepared, this isn’t good news.
Tourists and the National Park staff have been victims to the lava haze - a deadly mix of hydrogen sulfide, hydrochloric acid and carbon dioxide. These gases can also cause asthma and various heart conditions. Mix all that with typical personality of a tourist and you have a recipe for a disaster.

So why is it called the world’s most dangerous walkway?
Five people died on the walkway between the years 1999 and 2000 - now that sounds a good enough reason to never visit it to me. The walkway was also partially closed for over a decade as it was in an irreparable state - it finally reopened in 2015 although it is still not considered a safe hiking trail. But does that stop people from visiting it? No, this 100-year-old attraction is still popular with the daredevils.
Let’s move on to the most dangerous diving spot in the world, also known as Jacob’s Well.
Located northwest of Wimberley, Texas, Jacob’s Well is a popular spot for divers looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush. The average depth of Jacob’s Well is 120 feet - mind you, this is only the average.
Yep, we’re not kidding. England’s Alnwick Garden sure sounds like a peaceful place to spend your afternoon and perhaps stop and smell the roses. But before you do, you should also know that this garden is known to be deadly.
Wait, what? How is that even possible?
Also known as the Poison Garden, this green space features 100 plants that could easily kill you. If the pictures look familiar, it’s because you’ve definitely seen it somewhere - especially if you’re a fan of Harry Potter. Yup, this is the same garden that’s featured in the famous Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry and the plants are just as deadly.
