-- any African safari and getting familiar with nature is exciting for pretty much every human being. Little do people know that Africa houses some of the most deadliest animals in the world.

Puff Adder

Believe it or not, this is the most dangerous snake in Africa, killing 30,000 people per year - more than any other snake in Africa, including the Black Mamba.

This snake packs a punch with its powerful venom - it can grow up to 1 metre in length and can kill with a single bite.

The mosquito

Sure, this miniscule thing is something that’s easily killed and has somewhat innocent bites on every other part of the world. But in Africa, the mosquito is one of the most deadliest animals, killing almost 1 million people every year.

Next is hippopotamus!

Wanna guess how many people can a hippopotamus kill in a year? It’s not a joke - the number you’re looking for is 3000. Yup. Although looking slightly harmless from afar, these large creatures are far from gentle and innocent.

Yup, the fourth on this list is the lion. We sometimes forget that these large kitties are in fact totally dangerous and vicious when necessary.

But if a crocodile survives the lion chase, he is known to be the fifth most deadliest animal in Africa.

Crocodiles are indeed somewhat mesmerising but as you know, you shouldn’t stand too close.

7. Don’t let the Dumbo story fool you from thinking elephants are innocent.

These massive creatures are extremely strong and powerful, ready to tackle you down if needed. Although they’re not really known for their speed, they make up for it in weight and strength - African Elephants kill up to 500 people each year and most fatalities occur by being trampled to death

8. The Desert Locust is next on our list.

Yup, it’s an insect, but just like mosquitos, African insects can be extremely deadly. Here’s the tricky part - they don’t cause death to humans directly.

8. You all know this one - it’s the famous Black Mamba

Although Puff Adder is the deadliest snake in Africa, Black Mamba is close second on the list. They’re the biggest. The deadliest. The most feared. And the most aggressive.

Whatever you do, don’t come across a Black Mamba - it is very likely that it’ll be the last thing you ever do.
